Each Ayurvedic treatment has a specific purpose and all aim to return the individual to a harmonious state of health and wellbeing. At Satmya we specialise in Authentic Ayurvedic treatments but also offer remedial & sports massage therapy.

Abhyanga: Ayurvedic full body massage

This full body oil massage is designed to deeply penetrate your skin, to relax your mind & body, break up impurities and stimulate both arterial and lymphatic circulation.

Karana Purana - Ear treatment using warm oil
Following an external ear massage, warm freshly made medicated oil is pooled into your ear canal. Useful for a range of specific ear conditions and associated problems.

Kati Basti - Lower back treatment
Pooling of warm herbal oils on your lower back helps to relieve muscle spasm and pain, spinal rigidity and strengthen your lower back. It assists in improving circulation to your pelvis and lower limbs.

Nabhi Vijnanam -Naval pulse correction
Abdominal massage with warm oil followed by gentle stretches. For aches, pains and to ease the ill effects of any emotional and physical trauma you may have suffered.

Nadi Sweda – Massage & steam treatment
Using herbal oils, various parts of your body are massaged and steamed for deep penetration.
Steam therapy is beneficial for muscle and joint stiffness, heaviness, pain or paralysis in one or more parts of your body.

Nasya – Nasal treatment using medicated oil
A nasal treatment using medicated oil This treatment is one of the Panchakarmas (5 cleanses) mentioned in Ayurveda. Nasya therapy is a process wherein medicated herbs (decocted in oil or as a powder) are administered through the nostrils following a face massage and steam. This treatment is useful for reducing sinus congestion, improving memory and alleviating stress.

Shiro-Abhyanga – Indian head massage

Shirodhara – Continuous stream of oil on forehead
A deeply calming treatment involving the continuos pouring of warm oil on the third eye centre. This is preceded by a brief head massage (shiro-abhyanga). This treatment is extremely beneficial for stress, anxiety, insomnia, tension, neurological problems, etc.

Uro Basti – Chest treatment using warm oil
Pooling of warm herbal oils on the chest. Used to ease breathing while reducing discomfort and pain in your chest, intercostals and sternum areas.

Ubtan – Ayurvedic facial

Beautiful facial treatments to nourish soothe & deeply cleanse your skin.
Each facial begins with a face massage and an herbal steam before the mask is applied. All ubtans are freshly prepared from the finest, natural & organic ingredients.
Choose from:

Vata Ubtan: A moisturising & softening facial using a blend of soothing herbs & oils to alleviate dry or tight skin.
Pitta Ubtan: A cooling, soothing & detoxifying facial used for inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, rosacea etc
